Books have always been my self-care method of choice. I’m devouring books more than usual right now, trying to take a break from stressing about the news.
Did you know you can get FREE e-books and library books sent straight to your phone or e-reader? Here are my favorite ways to get free books:
For audiobooks, nobody beats Audible! If you’re not already a member, here’s a FREE 30-day trial! If you need some recommendations to get you started, here are some of my favorite audiobooks to help you be your best self during quarantine.
Have a Library Card? There are two apps that let you download e-books, audiobooks and movies using your library card!
Hoopla has the best selection to watch, read or listen from your device of choice. They too have audiobooks and movies!
If you have an e-reader, Libby lets you download your e-books straight to your reader! They have a great selection, and while you might still have to put a hold on some books just like when you go to the library, it is well worth it!
For Kindle owners, you can use the “Read With Kindle” option in Libby (U.S. only) to send e-books directly to your kindle.
If you have an Adobe-compatible e-reader (like a NOOK or Kobo), here’s a step-by-step guide on how to download your books to your device.
Did you know you Amazon lets Prime members download a selection of kindle books for free?
Simply log in, and go to the Prime Reading section and browse through the current books up for grabs. They have all different genres!
Once you’ve made your selection, simply click the green “Read Now” button and it will get sent to your device.
Don’t have a kindle yet? Buy one here:
You can also read your free books by downloading the app on your phone or tablet or by simply using your computer’s browser. If you don’t already have Amazon Prime, now is the best time to try them out with a 30-day FREE Trial!
